Wisconsin Dells is a classic family vacation destination. And what goes better with artisanal cheese than craft beer? In Milwaukee, visit the Lakefront and Sprecher Breweries for tours and tastings. Either drive from cheesemaker to cheesemaker, or choose a Wisconsin vacation in a town with a good farmers’ market-then the cheesemakers bring their wares to you. Packers fans don’t wear those cheese-wedge hats for nothing! Foodies will love tasting as many of Wisconsin’s artisanal cheeses as possible. Or choose Wisconsin’s Apostle Islands-kayakers will love exploring Lake Superior’s many caves and shipwrecks. A vacation in Wisconsin can put you close to the Kettle Moraine State Forest, which has excellent biking trails. But if you’re an outdoor adventurer, you’ll find plenty of places to explore in Wisconsin. When you think “adventure travel” you probably think of far-flung places like Belize and Alaska-not Wisconsin. Waterstone Resort & Marina Boca Raton, Curio Collection by Hilton.The hotel prices in the entire region seem to be a bit inflated for what you get, but that is just what it is I guess for location and post Covid inflation. Also it seems like the office closes at 7 ish so if you need anyone after that to ask questions or because you forgot something there may not be anyone, but I don’t know for sure because we didn’t need anything. I don’t rate hotels in things they can’t control, but the walls were thin so know that before you book if you have a problem sleeping or have a large loud group in might not be right for. It was close to a few restaurants and a short beach walk, also trails and other beaches around Sleeping Bear. You can tell the care about the property and it is well maintained and pretty. Rooms were nice and clean, shower pressure and heat were good, it was well-appointed (coffee maker, cork screw, enough towels and such for two, fridge /microwave, noise /sound machine and a lot of places to store suitcases and bags, very comfortable beds with the best pillows on our trip.) The two double bed room was definitely big enough for two for a weekend but might be tight with kids. They had one room left in the original hotel. A quick pivot put us in this hotel as we decided to spend some more time around Sleeping Bear. We were supposed to go to Detroit on our last leg of our Michigan Road trip but there was a huge power outage there including the hotel we booked.
